The historical focus of the definitive stamp is the mid-century systematic demographic and ethnographic registry of the indigenous communities inhabiting the Horn of Africa. Issued as a prominent installment of the territorial survey collection, this release archives the traditional social structures, domestic life, and artisanal heritage of the local Somali population. By permanently recording these native customs and lifestyles within the official state postal registry, the civil administration of French Somaliland documented the human geography and ethnological diversity of the territory, formalizing its complex cultural fabric for the global postal union.
